Hey there errrybody,

Well this last week was a really good one, and had a surprising ending which i´ll get to at the end. We´re still working really hard and seeing success. We had another baptism on Saturday of a little kid named Benjamin. We were walking one day and we saw a lady sweeping outside (chileans like sweeping their dirt for some reason...) and i was just going to keep walking cuz we were a little bit behind, but Elder Weston stopped and talked with her for a second and set up an appointment. We went by and in 3 weeks her son got baptized. There´s a little testimony builder of the importance of talking to everybody. He and his family were so pumped for the baptism, and he has older sisters that came and loved it and want to know more, so there´s just more blessings coming our way! Our golden family of Gabriela and her kids also came to church and they´re preparing to be baptized on the 10th of July, pray for them!!! Gabriela´s really struggling with leaving her Catholic traditions behind, so we´re really focusing on that and helping her get to know people in church. The kids have been participating in primary and young women´s, and they like it, so we´re good there, but now we just have to help them realize the importance of baptism.
We´ve been working in a new area that´s really rich. I walked into the neighborhood for the first time and seriously thought i had walked out of Chile and into some condos in California. Everyone has a car, plasma screen tv, and surprisingly everyone´s been really really nice. Even those that reject us do it in a respectful way, which is strange. We´ve found several good new investigators and we´re hoping for some more success for July and August.
We had a bummer call today with transfers. OUr house here in Chillán is so tight and we all get along great. We were hoping that we would escape transfers unscathed, but transfers struck and Elder Sorensen was hit. he´s leaving to Longavi to be with Elder Pierce, my buddy from AF who i lived with in Tomé. We were really bummed, but i was happy and excited for him cuz they´re going to do really well together and Elder Pierce is having tons of success in what is normally an extremely hard sector. Elder Dalton is goign to be training, so we´re goin to have a newby in the house. That means being really really focused and diligent in being obedient in all things to show this kid a good example, which will be really good for me for these last few months. It´s a blessing in disguise that will help us all i think.
Now for the surprise of the week. Yesterday Elder Weston was feeling weird in church, and afterward told me that he´s been having pain in his chest and sudden sharp pain that would make him dizzy. I was thinking that this was a freaking joke. Apparently i´m meant to be a doctor afterwards...Anyways we called Sister Humphrey and she told us to get on a bus in the morning and come down to Concepción. So i am now currently emailing here in Concepción. We went to the doctors and just like with Elder Conley, who went home last week by the way :( , they told us that they couldn´t find anything wrong and gave him a anti inflammatory perscription that should help him. Pray that he´ll be okay and that he won´t have any complications. He´s doin well and it doesn´t seem to be anything serious, but i´ve had bad luck with recent companions and their health, so i´ll be praying hard for him. Sister Humphrey told me that they were going to investigate and find out what i´ve been doing to my companions to cause them all to get sick haha.
When we went to the mission office today, i saw tons of people who have been here with me my whole mission all with their suit cases getting ready to go home tomorrow. I´ve known almost all of them my whole mission and it really weirded me out to see them all leaving. A couple actually got here with me, but for health reasons are now leaving. One, Elder Yeakley, was in my district in the MTC. We ate lunch together and it was really weird and sad to say goodbye to him since we started this all together. It just gave me a hint of what it´s going to be like when it´s my time and how sad that time will be.
I´m sure we felt the same way when we left the Pre-mortal life to come here to complete our missions. I´ve just grown to know and love so many people that if i hadn´t served my mission i never would have met. I love my mission and it seriously will be the best experience of my life, and I understand now all those weird RM´s that always said that their missions were the greatest things, when i thought they were crazy and that baseball and friends/girls were the greatest things haha. It really has helped me realize God´s plan and why we´re really here. I love you all tons and I have grown to love my chilean brothers and sisters and also the Elders that have served with me here. I´m really pumped for Michael, Mckay, and the rest of the fam that will be serving soon. It´s the best.
Anyways we have to get back to Chillán cuz we have a 2 hour bus ride right now and i can´t think of anything else to write. Tell everyone there hi for me!
