Still here in Talca!

So this week was pretty good as far as the heat goes, a few days cloudy, and yesterday it rained, so that’s been nice. Everything’s going good with the work, we confirmed Patricia and Escarlet yesterday, but didn’t have baptisms, we might have a couple next week but it depends on how ready Maria and Daniela are. Daniela didn’t come to church cuz we didn’t pass by her house and in order to be baptized you have to come on your own one time to show that these things are important for real, so we don’t know if we’re going to baptize her this week. Maria was out of town again yesterday, but she’s got a good family and wants to learn, she just doesn’t feel sure about it yet. Victor...well is Victor. He was pumped about his baptism last week, but now says that he wants to wait until he’s not sick anymore to be baptized, cuz he thinks he’ll get more sick from being wet, so we’re a little frustrated with him but we’ll keep at it. We found a new family that’s been inactive for years, but all their extended family are members (sealed in the temple and everything) and they want their youngest daughter, Rosio (16), to be baptized. We’ve taught them once and her mom and older brother both started crying while we were teaching. Her brother Favio is 17 and is way cool, he reminds me of David and Josh...he’s a cool dude. Anyways she’s excited to learn more, but isn’t sure about her baptism yet cuz her family has been inactive for so long so she doesn’t have a ton of confidence with the Church right now, but knows a lot about it. We’re focusing on finding more people right now and so that’s where we’re at in the work.

Oh and we found out about transfers today, everyone is staying in the house except Elder Jorgensen who is going to...(drumroll) Independencia which is in Talca Central, 5 minutes away from our zone. He is the new zone leader there, and my companion, Elder Viana, is the new District Leader here. For sure we are going to be here for another month and a half, so we’re excited about that.

My packages haven’t arrived yet, but I know their in Chile, it’s just that Talca is so far away from the office that they wait until Misson Conference, or Interviews to give us our stuff, so I’ll get those in like two weeks! I just realized I’m turning 20 in 6 days....wierd. I don’t want to leave my teens, they’ve been some really good years, but oh well we all have to get “old” someday!!

Love ya tons and thanks for the pics, the kiddies look great!
