Hey family,

This week has been crazy awesome. Easily one of the best weeks of my mission, and for our zone it was full of miracles. As a zone we put a baptismal goal of 15 for this month, and after the first week we baptized all 15 people!! Now we need to re adjust our goal, because we have 4 more weeks in May to baptize more of our brothers and sisters, so we´re pretty pumped about that!! We went to FICUS pizza place to celebrate as a zone. Fun stuff.

Here in our ward we had 7 baptisms. Francisco and Beatriz both got baptized on Wednesday and it was a very spiritual and special service. Right before getting baptized, Beatriz got really dizzy and lightheaded and passed out. We grabbed the bishop and gave her a blessing and immediately she felt better, and said she had felt warmth spread throughout her entire body, but especially felt it in her head where we had placed our hands and annointed her. It was a great experience and strengthened both theirs and everyone else´s testimony that was there about the power of the priesthood. We continued on with the baptism and she had no problems. Elder Roberts baptized them both, and they left the font in tears and sat there dripping wet and hugging eachother for several minutes. It was awesome! They were both confirmed on Sunday and said that again felt warmth spread through them as they received the Gift of the Holy Ghost, and are 100% sure that this is the Restored Church of Jesus Christ. Their next goals are the temple, and serving missions. Pretty good goals if you ask me. That same day a family of 5 was baptized by the other Elders, Nelson and Sorensen. I got to go interview the whole family on Friday night, and a stronger more converted family I´ve never met. They met the Elders about 2 months ago, and talked about the Restoration and the Book of Mormon. Their father, Juan, said that he always beleived that Christ had come to the Americas because he had read about the Aztec temples having baptismal fonts in them. Well the Elders lost contact of that family for a couple of weeks, and one day they were walking down the street after an appointment fell through. Elder Nelson said he felt they should go see Juan´s family and Sorenson said he was just thinking the same thing. They went over and found that Juan had been reading the Book of Mormon every day since they had contacted him. They taught the entire family and everyone of them, including their kids, read the book of mormon together everyday, and are now in Jacob. They attended church 3 times, and felt that they had finally found the true church after going to every other church in their town and not finding what they were looking for.
Juan told me during the interview that he had had a dream where he saw two angels arrive at his door and tell him that they were bringing him something very special for his family, and that after sharing with the Elders he felt that God had been preparing them to receive this message. They´re freaking awesome and it was way cool to be able to interview them. After the interview we asked them who they wanted to baptize them. Everyone either pointed to Elder Nelson or Elder Sorenson, but the mother of the family, Paz (who´s going to be relief society president someday), asked me if i could do it. I was surprised but told her i could. They then gave us grilled cheese sandwhiches which i haven´t eaten since i left the states, so it was a great night haha. We then proceeded to hitch hike our way back home cuz all the buses had stopped passing by. We got home okay.




Sunday we had 10 people in white: Juan, Paz, their kids Juan, Cesar, and Daniel and then Elder Nelson, Sorenson, a youth named José Ayuso, and me. It was a great experience and a ton of people from the ward stayed to support. Beatriz bore her testimony about the gospel and it was very sincere and spiritual. The converts that are getting to this ward are some of the strongest I’ve ever seen in my whole mission, so we´re pretty excited and the ward is very excited as well. It was easily the best week baptism wise that I´ve seen my entire mission, and we´re super excited about the future and what we´ll be able to do in May the month of miracles!
I know without a doubt that if we as members of this church will work hard, be obedient, and go the extra mile trying to do more than what is asked of us, we really can see miracles in our lives. I´ve seen it many times on my mission, the only hard part that we have as people is being constant and steady. I truly believe that if we never fell back into old habits, but just left them behind forever, we would see and experience blessings that we can´t even imagine. These amounts of baptisms for our mission in one zone, and in one week, are unheard of, but we´re working hard, and being obedient and the Lord has blessed us like crazy!! The work is true, it is awesome, and we´re all a part of it. Hurrah for Israel!!!
