So we had a pretty good week all things considered. Things are still going a little slow with the progression of some investigators, but Camilo is cruising along! He came to church early yesterday and we all turned on the heaters in church. He’s a real cool kid, and his family’s really great too, all of them are way nice and accept us in their home, but we haven’t been able to get them to come to church yet. I don’t know if I already told you the story, probably, but we contacted his mom (Vicki) first at another house. She answered and said she was just watching their neighbor’s house while the owners were out. We asked her if we could write down her address to her house and visit her. She told us she lived far away, in the central part of town, and that if one day we pass by there we could share with her. Two houses to the left we knocked and Camilo answered. He let us in and we shared with him and then his brother walked in and we shared with him, and then Vicki walked in and Camilo says, ¨Elders, this is my mom Vicki.¨ We said ¨ Nice to meet you Sister Vicki (while trying not to laugh) she had the most horrified face and went all red and hurried and hid herself in the kitchen. Haha funny story, anyways as we left she yelled ¨Sorry for lying! ¨ we forgave her and told her we’d be back to teach her family. Anyways she’s been a harder egg to crack, but we’ve slowly been making progress with her. Last Saturday we did a mini cambio with my zone leader Elder May and we went over there. We taught Camilo and his little sister, Caroline, who’s just awesome After we taught them, Vicki had a bunch of questions about the church. After all of our answers she’d say ¨Hey that’s what I believe too¨ and then went on to tell us that the first few times we taught her son, she was in the bathroom listening to us through the door haha. Funny lady. So pray for that family, The mom Vicki, Camilo, Carolina, Nicolas, Ignacio, and the rest of the family (we haven’t met everyone, they’re a family of 7 people) that they can accept the gospel and start coming to church and get baptized!! Kiara’s kind of died as an investigator. She knows it’s true, she’s passed her interviews with our zone leaders, she’s just scared to change religions and upset her family. So it’s all up to her now, we’ve done our part. She still comes to church every week cuz she lives with her aunt and uncle who are members. We were able to get a couple of less active members to come to church too so that was nice. Anyways, it’s been a long week of doing contacts and trying to find those golden investigators, and we’ve seen some success, but we’re still waiting to see what comes of it. Yesterday we passed by all of our appointments and no one was home, uuuuugggghhhhh, so we did contacts for a looong time. Nobody listened to us. Then the last three houses all said we could come back and teach them. Weird how the Lord tests our patience. One of the last ladies we contacted said, ¨It’s so weird that you guys came by today. I’ve been having a lot of problems with my husband and yesterday and today have just been horribly stressful with my kids. I’ve been praying that God would send something or someone to help me and you two showed up. She told us to pass by tomorrow at 6:00 and she would have the table set and ready to listen to us. Woooohoooo gotta love that! Needless to say it was a nice breath of fresh air after having people say no all day. This transfer’s going by way fast. We only have two more weeks left and then Elder Reynolds will be heading to another sector. I’m kind of bummed, but we’re just going to work sooooo hard to get some good investigators before he heads out. Sooooo awesome news from today!! Since President Chavez is leaving next month he decided to lift the rule of no soccer! woohoo. Apparently a lot of Elders were getting hurt, but he decided that we need some fun, not that battling with Catholics and Jehovah’s Witnesses all day isn’t fun. We gathered as a zone today and played for three hours in the rain. Heck yah! It was way fun, but I think I might be rolling around in a wheelchair this upcoming week, I’m so out of shape. Obviously my team won, no big deal, happens all the time.

As for the news you shared with me, if you could send the Searles and the Ingersolls my love that would be great. I emailed Drew and he already knew about Jared and we were talking about how awesome a guy he is, and we’re both excited to see him again and somehow help him out with the baseball team after the mish. He really was and is such an idol of mine, I absolutely love the guy. Anyways let him know we’re thinking about him and his family.

I love you all sooooo much and thanks for all the pics, you all seriously look great, Addie looked so cute. I hope you all enjoy your summer while I’m in winter here haha.

Much Love,

Tanner
