September 16, 2009...a day to remember! We borrowed the Garlicks giant 12 passenger van so everyone could go to the MTC to see Tanner off, grandkids and all! Dad still couldn't walk very well because of his back so he had to say good-bye laying on his tummy in the car. The rest of us jumped out of the van, Tanner got his suitcases out, we each took a turn for one last hug and then Tanner turned and walked away without looking back. I don't know if he felt brave but he looked like a modern day "Son of Helaman", ready to do battle! It was truly a happy day because we knew that great things were about to occur in Tanner's life and in the life's of people we didn't even know in Chile!! Hurrah for Isreal!

That was a good/sad day. We sure miss ya! Talmage prays for the missionaries, "especially Tanner and Danielle" every single prayer. I can tell he's proud of you!
