Tanner is currently serving in Talca, Chile. It is a beautiful city of over 200,000 people. He is living with three other elders - Elder Mayberry, Elder Jorgensen, and Elder Viana. He said when he first saw the house where he was going to live he thought "you've got to be kidding" but he soon came to appreciate his new home as he saw how others were living. He feels very fortunate to be living in this house, in this city and with these elders. He has said he couldn't have asked for a better situation. He and his companion, Elder Viana have already seen miracles and had some very spiritual experiences as they have taught and served the people in Talca. As I close this post I will leave you with a story Tanner sent about a critter who tried to move in with the four elders:
Funny story about elder mayberry. the other day we tried to catch a lizard at our house, but it got away and we didn´t know where it went. Then when it was lunchtime we took a taxi to a restaurant and about half way through our meal (about an hour after the lizard incident) elder mayberry stops and says..i think that lizard is in my pants. we all started laughing and didn´t believe him, but he was like, no really, and stood up and shook out his pants and the lizard fell out in the middle of the restaurant! The waitress was just stunned at what she had just seen and people were staring at us but we were all laughing way hard!
