Time is cruising by!

Hey Family,

Thanks for the email and updates about everybody! Sorry to hear about Jardin and his partner, Just keep pullin through man, you´re one of the best guys I know and the Lord takes care of his righteous saints! That´s cool that Mckay´s getting in to the School dance thing, those were always way fun even when I got asked by girls that I didn´t really know haha. Just be yourself and DON´T BE WEIRD (but I guess being yourself would be being weird, so just be weird haha) and you´ll have a blast!

So this week kinda cruised by but at the same time was long, if that makes any sense. It was definitely the hottest week by far here and the locals say it´ll just get hotter near the end of January and beginning of February aaahhhhh!!! Annyyways we had a pretty good week, nothing really crazy or awesome happened, the two kids that we were supposed to baptize yesterday didnt get baptized. When we passed by their house to give them their baptismal clothes on Saturday they said that they didn´t have the ¨desire¨ anymore, and they escaped to the countryside for the weekend with their mom (they live with their Grandparents) we think that the little girl called her mom up to come rescue them so they wouldn´t have to go to church on sunday/be baptized. So that was kinda frustrating, but we´re not too worried we´ve got some other good investigators and hopefully Estrella and Jason, with the support of their grandparents (who aren´t members but really want to be baptized, they just need to stop smoking and get married first) will change their mind and just get in the water!

We found another family this week too that´s really awesome. The mom was baptized when she was fourteen but never went to church again cuz they moved right after. She has a daughter that´s 11 and is just freakin awesome! Her name is Escarlet and she understands everything and just has awesome faith and is doing everything we ask her to do and always helps remind her mom that they need to do family prayer at night, she´s so cool. Anyways she´s going to be baptized the 31st so add her in your prayers too! We found a girl named Daniela this week who´s 19. She´s really great and excited about everything, the only problem is I think she´s my first ¨snake¨. When she asked me if I had a girlfriend back home, and I responded no cuz they´re all getting married (stupid Utah girls), she said that she would have waited for me for two years if she lived in Utah, kinda weird but she came to church and said she´d be baptized on the 7th of February so it´s all good. We had 5 investigators in church again (not including the less active people we found and got back in church) so we´re really excited. We actually were expecting around 8 in church, but we´re perfectly happy with 5. The best part is, is that they´re all married, or single, and don´t have any crazy problems that they need to fix before they can be baptized. Anyways add Escarlet and Daniela in your prayers!

Hope your all doin good and thanks for the emails and support, i´m excited for my package in two weeks haha

Love you tons

Tanner

p.s. Dad thanks for that story about George Wilson, we haven´t had anything like that happen yet, but it definitely would be cool! We´re working hard and trying to be worthy so that the spirit can blow some people away when we walk past them haha that´d be soooo cool! And p.s. you never told me what happend in the TCU vs. Boise State game! Remember that I´m with out sports news right now and need your help haha love you!

  1. TCU lost buddy. I didn't watch it but Jeff did. You should email him and tell him to keep you updated. I'm sure he'd do it especially if it came directly from you. He'd love to help you out. Sorry about those kids changing their minds about getting baptised. That's sad. But I'm glad to hear about the other girls. Don't let those pretty south of the border women still your heart away though. That sounds dangerous!jk Love ya brother.
